Counterpoint, an industry data provider, says Apple's iPhone 12 Mini sold only 5% of sales in the first 15 days of January.
Counterpoint released the data on Tuesday, according to Reuters.
The data also shows a drop in demand for the US multinational technology company Apple's smaller version of its new mobile phone brand.
In recent years, the use of large mobile phones by smartphone users has increased as more videos can be easily viewed on them, and more videos like Facebook, Instagram, TikTuk and SnapChat are being used.
William Young, an analyst at JPMorgan, said last week that "Apple may have to stop production of the mini iPhone 12 and 12 in the next three months due to a drop in demand.
Apple has not yet commented on the matter.
The US company launched smaller models of the iPhone 12 last year, but demand for smaller iPhones has fallen sharply compared to the iPhone 12 Pro and older iPhone 11S.
